Newport RFC to Texas

Newport RFC journeyed on their American adventure to the southern states of the USA. Austin, Texas was the first destination the boys tackled in their week-long rugby tour. From sightseeing – including the Texas Longhorn’s stadium, Rainey Street and the Capitol Building – to a boat party on Lake Travis, Newport RFC conquered the capital.
An hour and half journey southwest saw the group move on to their second city of the tour, San Antonio. Here the group battled against a local side San Antonio RFC where they came out victorious against the hosts.
Their last day on tour saw the group experience a day on a ranch, diving headfirst into the ‘cowboy capital of the world in Bandera.
Thanks to our partners at British Airways, Holiday Inn and Drury Hotels for delivering service above and beyond once again.

Three nights in Boston gave access to Harvard University, Fenway Park and a wonderful afternoon and evening with our rugby hosts in Worcester, Massachusetts – playing against a side that simply loves to host our touring clubs.
