School Ski Trips to Madonna Di Campiglio / Marilleva, Italy

Our school ski trips to Madonna di Campiglio in Italy offer a fabulous break for skiers. The stunning resort is part of the famous Skirama Dolomiti area, providing plenty of ski and leisure activities for everyone.

Madonna di Campiglio sits at over 1500m and thankful to the 95% snow making facilities, the resort will never be scarce of the white fluffy silk paths. A long season is assured. Skiers and boarders of all abilities are well catered for. Combined with 150km of pistes, this is a must-visit for any ski fanatic as all abilities are catered for with its wide range of trails and an available ski school.

This resort is steeped in ski heritage. Winter sports began in 1948 with the construction of the first chairlift on Monte Spinale. Today it is a gondola that stretches all the way from town to the ski area’s high point, Passo Grostè, at 2,444m.

These two resorts in Italy have been home to many MSG groups over the years and it never disappoints.

School Ski Trips to Hakuba Valley, Japan

Our school ski trips to Japan provide students with a unique opportunity to sample arguably the world’s best powder and ski resorts.

There’s a good reason why Japan should top your skiing bucket list next year. Boasting over 600 resorts throughout its rugged landscape – 70% of Japan is mountainous – winds from Siberia blow south-westerly dropping a generous amount of seasonal powder during the winter months.

Compact resorts, with operating efficiency that typifies Japanese industry, boast mountains up to 3000m such as Shiga Kogen and Hakuba Valley, one of the most popular ski resorts in the country and host to thousands of foreign tourists annually.

The Hakuba Valley’s proximity to Tokyo by bullet train makes this a perfect destination for a ski and city break for school groups seeking somewhere exciting that also boasts incredible value for money.

Whilst the Mountain Pass covers 11 resorts in the Valley, our hotels are located in and around Hakuba Village which features 5 doorstop ski resorts including Hakuba Happo-one, Hakuba Goryu, Hakuba 47, Iwatake and Hakuba Sanosaka. The 5 resorts’ lifts are connected via a free shuttle bus offering the unique opportunity to ski in different resorts for each day of your stay.

It’s a mystery to us why Japan is often overlooked by schools researching ski trips. With pricing comparable with the West Coast of the US, Japan offers a cultural enrichment afforded by no other country in the world. Incredible and consistent powder, minimal queues, high-quality resorts and spectacular city breaks in Tokyo makes this a perfect school ski trip destination between December and March.

School Ski Trips to Gudauri, Georgia

Our school ski trips to Georgia never fail to impress those who adore soft and reliable snow in a truly unique setting.

This destination is unconventional and adventurous compared to The European Alps. Ideal for large groups, the resort of Gudauri provides a tremendous amount of scope for all ski abilities and après options whilst boasting consistently short queues on all lifts.

Georgia is a visa-free short-haul destination from the UK with British Airways and easyJet’s recent announcement of direct flights from London bring the city of Tbilisi closer than ever. Groups in the Middle East can reach the country on a three-hour flight via Qatar Airways or FlyDubai.

Nestled into the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range and drenched in sunshine throughout the ski season. At 2,196m the resort itself is higher than some of its better-known neighbours.

Gudauri’s slopes lie above the tree line, offering consistent free riding over its 50km of runs. Don’t let that modest number put you off: queues are non-existent on the rich powder slopes with midweeks feeling like they belong only to your school group. Night skiing on weekends brings the locals in from Tbilisi with hotels and restaurants becoming lively Thursday through to Sunday evening.

Gudauri is located two hours’ drive via coach from Tbilisi, which, itself boasts too many charms to forbid a skiing experience only. Stop off for a night at least in this charming capital’s Old Town where sulphur baths and medieval sightseeing will cap off an unforgettable trip to this inviting country.

Dare to be different? If so, visiting one of Eastern Europe’s best kept secrets should make your shortlist for the next school ski trip.

Comprising of 102 ski trails, 14 ski lifts and 754 acres of terrain, the resort is full of thrills for skiers of every experience. Split between the North and South side of the mountain, both boasting snow parks, beginner, intermediate and advanced routes as well as a range of lifts to hone your skills.
