Forest School’s Cricket Tour to South Africa

Forest School’s boys’ and girls’ U15 cricket squads enjoyed an unforgettable tour to South Africa in February 2026, combining competitive fixtures with some of Cape Town’s most iconic experiences.

The trip began with a lively evening at GOLD Restaurant, where the group experienced traditional South African food, music and culture. 
The action quickly moved to adventure and sport, with the players heading out for a surfing session before competing in their opening cricket fixtures. The following day included a climb up Lion’s Head, offering spectacular views across the city before the squad returned to the field for another match against local opposition. 
A highlight of the tour was an unforgettable safari experience, where students saw South Africa’s incredible wildlife up close before continuing with further fixtures against talented local teams. 
The tour concluded with a visit to Table Mountain before the final cricket fixture, and a trip to Robben Island prior to flying home. Blending high-quality cricket with adventure and cultural discovery, the tour provided a memorable experience both on and off the field.
