Bedlinog RFC's Rugby tour to Denver, New York & Boston Tour
With most of the USA covered on previous rugby tours to north America with MSG, Bedlinog RFC continued their adventurous streak across three new states.
Commencing in Denver, the Foxes spent four days in ‘Mile High City’ to prepare for games scheduled into their east coast itinerary. An afternoon white water rafting in the Rocky Mountains followed a day with the revered Denver Broncos, exploring their unique stadium in a behind-the-scenes tour.
Travelling overnight to NYC allowed led the tourists a full day’s sightseeing in one of America’s most exciting destinations. Starting along The High Line, nerves were tested on New York City’s premier new tourist attraction, The Edge, offering panoramic views of Manhattan on a perfect blue-sky afternoon.
Next up was Boston, Massachusetts. Led by MSG founder, Mark, views of New York State, Connecticut and Rhode Island were taken from the luxury reclining seats, emphasising the benefits of criss-crossing America via Amtrak train.
Three nights in Boston gave access to Harvard University, Fenway Park and a wonderful afternoon and evening with our rugby hosts in Worcester, Massachusetts – playing against a side that simply loves to host our touring clubs.
Thanks to British Airways and Southwest Airlines for making the journeys between cities smooth and comfortable for our travelling Welshmen.
