Niamh Houlihan from MSG said: “We have built our reputation on a passion to deliver the unexpected. We set ourselves an exceedingly high bar in customer service and overall experience. Consequently, customers on clubs, schools and organised ski trips rightly expect our team to be on their game at all times. Making certain that all runs smoothly and everyone has a fantastic time is a joy, but there is also pressure.”
Lauren Asquith, the Trust’s Mental Health Lead held a workshop at MSG’s offices at Marble Hall, Derby which helped break down the walls when talking about mental health and educated the team about creating a plan of action that staff can follow so they feel supported in the workplace.
Lauren said: “The team from MSG work in a high-pressured and demanding environment with lots of deadlines and lots of complex logistical challenges. They have recognised that DCCT can support their staff in managing mental health, spotting stress symptoms in themselves and colleagues and how to support them.”
The workshop was followed by a 45 min yoga session, which helped the team switch off and reset for the new year. A final feel-good factor is that the donation for the session will go back into the community on one of the many of the Trust’s charity projects. It was a fantastic way to start the year and MSG Tours are looking forward to continuing to support Derby County Community Trust in the future.
A special thank you to Lauren for the mental health session, Steph for the Yoga and to Will for working with us to plan the day.
MSG Tours Ltd are working to break the stigma of mental health, so should you!
