Arriving at the site of MSG Tours’ office is an inspiration itself; a £4 million investment to the iconic former Rolls-Royce building, with the infamous British brand in 5-foot letters as the building’s header. And the inspiration doesn’t stop there… once inside the wooden arched front doors you are greeted with an incredible Rolls-Royce Battle of Britain memorial stain glass window; depicting a young World War II pilot atop a typical 3 blade propeller, with a blazing golden eagle (literally) and sun framing his bust. I felt a powerful sense of heritage whilst sitting in the foyer waiting for my new boss to descend the impressive spilt staircase. On a personal note giving a nod to the pilot that was my Great Uncle Kevin.[/text_output]
[text_output]The timing for Week 1 couldn’t have been better as it coincided with the quarterly Project 90 extended team meeting. This meant I was able to meet and greet all the MSG Tours’ family in one swift blow, get to know the team’s culture and soak up how the business operates… I did the best sponge impression I could. After updates on various work streams we undertook a creative session led by Paul Hill aka ‘The Creator’. The objective: to determine how we can push the envelope on our tours and engage our consumers in the best ways possible. It was a fantastic session that elicited innovative thinking and provided tangible outputs to move forward with as a team. I’m excited to get cracking!
The key takeaway I absorbed from Week 1 was that MSG Tours are everything that had attracted me to the company and more. The canvas is snow white, clean as a whistle and you’re encouraged to use your ‘License to Create’ to craft tours that are guaranteed to #Delivertheunexpected.
A spring has definitely been in my step since starting life at MSG Tours and I am thrilled to be part of the family. As a Spanish speaking, sport loving Scuba Diver that loves all things travel, it’s exciting to see that I will be able to utilise many of my passions, dovetailed with all my previous commercial experience. My future at MSG Tours is looking bright and the job is much more like doing my hobbies for 8 hours a day. As the famous Marc Anthony quote goes, “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life”. Find out more about me here![/text_output]
