What sun? What heat? – we’ve just had Storm Ciara with Storm Dennis on its way to the UK, too. Well, MSG Tours don’t just co-ordinate tours for British clubs and schools, but we offer our services internationally, too.
They aren’t the first from overseas and we sure hope they’re not the last, but Repton School from Dubai are going on a ski trip with MSG Tours. Returning customers who are getting addicted to the slopes; this will be their second time skiing with us.
Putting the stresses of school and homework to the back of their minds, they will be leaving the Emirati heat for the Georgian slopes of Gudauri. Swapping the hustle and bustle of the city with a tranquil and scenic escape to the mountains.
Georgia doesn’t usually spring to mind when thinking of places to go skiing. But, with it being a short flight to Tbilisi from the UAE, it’s the perfect location for the Dubai-based school.
Fellow Dubai school, Kent College also swapped the sand for the snow when they visited Gudauri themselves last year.

And, it’s not just sports and study tours we do, either.
Skiing is addictive. A break in the snow has become a staple on the calendar for many people and there’s good reason for that. Many British schools organise annual skiing trips and that western tradition has made its way to the Middle East.
25 students will spend a week in the snow, learning to ski across five days with professional instructors. Once they get to grips with their skis, they’ll find there’s nothing quite like the feeling of gliding over fresh snow with your friends. Hopefully, memories will be made that will last a lifetime when they stand on top of the slopes taking in the beauty of the winter landscape.
The Repton School children will get to experience and enjoy an environment which is the complete opposite their daily lives.
Everyone you meet on your trip will be singing from the same hymn sheet. They are all there to do one thing – ski. Escaping reality with like-minded people on a snowy mountain can invigorate you. Mentally as well as physically.
You don’t have to be a doctor to know that exercise is good for you. And, with all the enjoyment disguising it, you forget you’re exercising while you’re on your skis.
It won’t all be ski ski ski – there’ll be a chance for the students to spend time together in the warmth when enjoy a bowling night and relax in the games room.
Greg Roberts, Head of Year 11 at Repton School said: “We are all looking forward to our trip to Gudauri! The skiing in this resort is superb; the students learn so much over the course of the week and they all have such great fun. We used MSG last year and we had an excellent trip. We were so impressed with Darya, the local connection. She was so incredibly helpful, and the trip ran really smoothly as a result.” [/text_output]
