Handily occurring in the traditional May touring window, Maggotfest's annual XVs tournament is a right of passage for most North American men's, women's and vets teams. Their 'free beer all weekend' mantra is a handy strap line to tempt sides across to their idyllic Montana base

This world-famous rugby tournament is hosted by the Missoula All-Maggots Rugby Club, since 1977, in Missoula MT, USA. The emphasis at Maggotfest is on both the sport and social aspects of rugby. Teams are encouraged to not only play great rugby, but are HIGHLY encouraged to win the party, wear costumes, play with sportsmanship, and have fun!

Every team plays two 30-minute matches on Saturday and Sunday with a special Thursday evening 'opener' set aside for international touring sides seeking a full 80-minute match.

The rugby elements are interspersed with white water rafting trips, pub crawls, fancy dress nights and having fun with touring sides that attend from all corners of the globe.

Maggotfest is possible THE most social and interactive rugby tournament in America. Consider twinning this north-western experience with a stay in Seattle where direct flights welcome you from most international cities.

Transfer to Missoula

09:00 – Board your coach after breakfast for your transfer to Missoula for Maggotfest 2027!

17:00 – Arrive in Missoula and check-in to your accommodation for the next 4 x nights at Holiday Inn by IHG Downtown Missoula or similar central hotel on a B&B basis.

Today you have a full free day to explore Missoula and surrounding areas. You will have the coach with driver for approximately 8 hours per day whilst in Missoula (within mileage limits). Some of our recommendations include:

Day 6-7

Maggotfest!

Breakfast included at your accommodation each morning of the festival weekend.

Transfer to Fort Missoula Regional Park, 3401-3499 South Ave W, Missoula, MT 59804

Matches start @ 9:00 AM, Saturday.

Each match will have two 30 minutes halves with no injury time. In order to keep on schedule, referees will whistle up the game at the appointed hour, so please have your team ready to play on time.

Sunday’s games begin at 10:30 AM. Sunday matches will first be posted on the Schedule Board at Fest Central near the main Bella Vista Pavillion at Fort Missoula on Saturday afternoon near the match pitches.

The Saturday night Block Party begins at 7:00 PM on Ryman Street in front of the Maggot sponsor bars, Bodega and Monks.
