Saving the famed Chicago until the closing leg allowed both Milwaukee and Madison to be explored in depth.  The wonderfully engaging rugby folk in Milwaukee hosted the tourists admirably in what proved a very close encounter.  In true rugby style, the fun didn’t stop on the pitch as many a celebration followed in the local bars and onwards to the following day’s Milwaukee Brewers live baseball match.  The Welshmen reflected positively on their first ‘tailgating’ encounter!

Heading north-west to Madison opened up the second fixture on America’s Memorial Day.  The travels and late nights played their part in the locals’ subsequent victory, which many of the Welsh lads attributing also to the traditional hot weather that’s a guarantee in these parts.

Chicago lay in wait after enjoying the fruits of this beautiful college town.  Four nights allowed the players to see the very best of this iconic city that’s nestled on the shores of Lake Michigan.  With the games out of the way it left adequate time to see the Willis Tower, Navy Pier, Wrigleyville and everything offered on the city’s Magnificent Mile.
