Sports Tour Overview
Basketball is an ever-growing and increasingly popular sport in the UK. The opportunity to head west and see how some of the best in the business do it, was an opportunity that London’s Spartans Academy recently took on a three-game basketball sports tour during April 2018.
Basketball Tour to Toronto, Canada
MSG Tours are now offering several basketball sports tours around the world, including Canada’s most populous city, Toronto. Their trip was a blend of high-level competitive basketball fixtures, training and the opportunity to embrace the Canadian lifestyle and culture whilst developing their core skills and learning from some of the very best. With their staff having completed a pre-tour ‘inspection visit’ (courtesy of MSG Tours) they had identified the training facilities at Ryerson University (Kerr Hall Gymnasium) as a local preparation base and enjoyed two self-led training sessions in state of the art facilities.
Watching the NBA’s Toronto Raptors playing live inspired the students. Not only did they have the chance to put their basketball skills to the test, but there was also the chance to visit one of the wonders of the world; Niagara Falls. Unrivaled in breath-taking beauty, a truly phenomenal spectacle was marvelled at by students and staff alike. In addition to this, the students visited the CN Tower and explored everything that Toronto and Niagara had to offer.
