Geography and History tour to Sorrento
Trading in the classroom for the sights of Italy, The Chase School, Malvern enjoyed an unforgettable history and geography trip to Sorrento.
The school embarked on their twelfth MSG Tour as they looked to expand the students’ knowledge of each subject.
Climbing 800m up Mount Vesuvius’s 1281m was the clear highlight, offering incredible views and a first-hand look at volcanic activity. At Solfatara, students saw bubbling mud pools and steaming fumaroles, bringing geography lessons to life.
Next came the real-life history of Pompeii. A guided tour revealed ancient homes, baths, and streets frozen in time. The group also trained at Gladiator School and visited the Flavian Amphitheatre and Temple of Serapide, exploring Roman architecture and daily life.
The final stop was the Pertosa Caves, where students ventured underground to see limestone formations and underground rivers. This trip offered a memorable, real-world learning experience students will never forget.
