Sports Tour Overview
Wherever you find the British Army, you will find the Royal Army Medical Service (RAMS) who deploy at short notice anywhere in the world to provide medical support.
28 players from RAMS’ women’s rugby programme (formerly Army Medical Services) travel with us on active duty to The Lone Star State of Texas for a pre-Christmas rugby tour.
Across ten days, the RAMS take on the South African National Defence Force in Cape Town on what we expect to be warm, summer evenings in the southern hemisphere.
Across the programme, the team will be coaching local girls’ football at Hout Bay United FC and integrating with their community project to keep children active.
Integrating will also take place with US Army Medical Command at Joint Base San Antonio, alongside the customary phot opportunity at the Alamo.
