Haileybury Almaty, an independent school based in Kazakhstan, took their skiing skills to the slopes of Gudauri, Georgia. Situated in the stunning Caucasus Mountains, Gudauri is known for its wide range of ski slopes that cater to all skill levels, making it an ideal destination for both beginners and seasoned skiers.  

In the evenings, students participated in various activities, including padel tennis, bowling, table tennis, and billiards.  

The trip to Gudauri also provided an opportunity to immerse themselves in Georgia’s rich culture. After six days of skiing, guided by local ski instructors, the group headed to Tbilisi for a day of sightseeing. In this historic city, they visited the Fort of Isani to admire its bastions and walls, explored the labyrinth of winding streets in the Old Town, and enjoyed traditional Georgian food in the shadow of Narikala Fortress.  

Whether bonding over a shared love for skiing or learning about the unique customs of the area, the school ski trip to Gudauri offered a perfect balance of adventure, education, and cultural exploration.
