Craighouse School, Chile rugby & hockey tour to Europe
Craighouse School, Chile ventured on a tour of a lifetime as they swapped South America for Europe for their rugby & hockey tour.
Departing from Santiago, their first stop was Dublin, Ireland. Experiencing Croke Park, and learning firsthand by taking part in some Hurling, Gaelic football and Gaelic handball. Seeing the historic city of Dublin before transferring to their second country and destination, Rydal Penrhos, Wales.
A brief visit to the home of Shakespeare before watching a live rugby fixture in Gloucester. Then back into Wales, this time in the south and to the capital, Cardiff. A tour of the Principality Stadium, home to the Welsh national rugby team.
A fixture for both the rugby and hockey squads v Downside School in Bath, England before a trip to the south coast of England, Bournemouth. Enjoying the local sights and taking in another fixture, this time v Canford School.
A single night’s stopover in the historical city of Oxford followed, before moving onto the capital and enjoying all the sightseeing opportunities the city has to offer.
One final hockey fixture was hosted by St Benedict’s School in London before heading out to Madrid, Spain. A tour of the world famous Bernabeu Stadium, home to Real Madrid before their last hockey fixture Vs Hockey Pozuelo. A final day sightseeing of the majestic city of Madrid was squeezed in before an overnight flight back home to Santiago, Chile.
