Cross-Curricular Trip to New York
Trading the classroom for the Big Apple, Clifton College travelled to New York City for a cross-curricular study trip. The group were split into two different subject groups: one made up of art, design, and technology students, and the other with economics and business pupils.
Some students visited the Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim Museum, perfect locations for an artist to visit and apply what they learned into their own studies. Meanwhile, the economics and business group gained exclusive insights into global finance and international relations thanks to a tour of the United Nations Headquarters, Wells Fargo Bank, and a guided tour of the Financial District.
No trip to New York was complete without seeing the essentials for any tourist: the 9/11 Museum, Empire State Building and Museum and concluding with a guided walking tour of Central Park to name but a few.
This experience for the students took ‘learning outside the classroom’ to a whole new level. The children saw the most important parts of NYC, and the memories will last for a lifetime.
