With a large number of the group being first-time skiers, the students were very inquisitive on the first morning at ski fit, but all ran very promptly. First lessons ran snoothly and set the tone for a week of rapid progression from all four lesson groups. The students enjoyed lessons every morning and afternoon, apart from the Tuesday when they took part in tobogganing and night skiing.

In the evenings the group enjoyed some free time, a Movie Night, an evening at Night Ski (which, as ever, was the highlight of the trip), a romantic evening with a Valentine’s theme (where students had to choose their partners for the night and sit boy, girl, boy, girl!) followed by ice skating at the local Life Park. The group ended the week in true Italian style with a big meal at a traditional pizzeria.

Andalo proved once again a perfect destination for school ski trip groups of this kind and – as a camp for the Norwegian ski team – it has all that anyone could want facilities wise. As well as improving their techniques an confidence on the slopes, the students were able to immerse themselves in Italian culture and experience the best of what is much more than just a ski resort.
